Summary
1 Bands & singer songwriters that are successful with their audition will be invited
to take part in an XLR-
2 Successful acts will be offered a Recording Contract with Media Ministries specifically for the songs recorded during the showcase. This means that acts are not tied in any way other than for the recordings made during the showcase. This is a legal requirement to release an act’s recordings and to ensure that they receive all royalties due.
3 The showcase will take place in front of a live audience at The Barnfield Theatre in Exeter.
4 Each act will perform 2 or 3 songs not exceeding 12 minutes performance time in total.
5 The whole show will be videoed and recorded to broadcast standard.
6 The edited video & audio recordings from the show will be promoted to all relevant radio & TV stations for airplay with press releases to relevant magazines and newspapers.
7 One or more songs from each act’s recording from the showcase will be included on a compilation CD that will be released commercially with sales & distribution through Active Media/Universal Music operations.
8 Each act will receive 100 copies of the compilation CD that they appear on, to sell or give away as they wish.
9 Each Act will receive 1 DVD copy of the complete show that they appear in.
10 Each act will receive 1 DVD edited copy of their own performance for their own promotional purposes.
